I Don’t Know How Much I’m Worth.

We hear the saying "Know your worth" so many times til we're blue in the face and honestly we don't know what that means the majority of the time. We think our worth is tied to how many likes we get on Instagram or facebook or how many retweets we get on twitter and if it doesn't get the expected amount of likes or retweets, we delete the picture chalking it up saying it was ugly( I should know because I have done it myself). But, our worth is not tied to that.
This is how Webster’s described the words “worth” and “rare” back in 1828:
Worth (Websters 1828): Value; that quality of a thing which renders it useful, or which will produce an equivalent good in some other thing; Importance; valuable qualities.
Rare (Websters 1828): Uncommon; not frequent; Unusually excellent; valuable to a degree seldom found.
This how you can know your worth: Our worth is tied to what God says about us. When you want to know your worth, look to what He did on the Cross for you.
He said “You are of much value and uncommon rarity that I have to have you for Myself. But the only way I can do that is by taking your place on the Cross in hopes that you would accept Me as your Lord & Savior and spend eternity with Me, my most precious jewel”.
When you know your worth, others will see it too. When you know your worth no man or woman can run games on you. When you know your worth, it allows God to send the right people your way.Additional Scriptures:Proverbs 31:10 An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels.Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.Romans 5:8 "but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
